The Omniplex is open, and so are the gates of HELL! On today's episode we welcome Peter Atkins, screenwriter of Wishmaster, Hellbound: Hellraiser II, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth, and Hellraiser IV: Bloodline, of which he has recently released his original screenplay in paperback. We have a very laid back conversation with Peter about moviegoing, horror influences, love of novelizations, the writing process, and the rare instance where our guest interviews us!
You can buy Hellraiser Bloodline: The Original Screenplay at these links:
Paperback and Kindle
Retro Mass Market Paperback Edition

The Omniplex is open, but today we'd like to take you to the Hundred Acre Wood, to a little place called Pooh Corner. Since we've recorded this episode, A.A. Milne's Pooh and his corner have gone into the public domain, but we are exploring all the myriad (probably/definitely copyrighted) ways that the original book has been adapted. So come sing the theme song with us! (Which one is up to you!)

The Omniplex is open, and today we are paying homage to Todd Haynes' 1995 film Safe. We get a little raw and open in this one as we talk a film that takes place in 1987, yet resonates.. a little too well. So! Let's dive in, shall we?

The Scaryplex is open! Looking for some terrors to partake of this Halloween? Well, we're here to give you a plethora of things to be frightened about as we present you with a vastly updated Horrorcast from The Film Room's foray into the genre almost 9 years ago. We cover so many recommendations (and a few anti-recommends), we could barely fit it into one episode. Everything from Family Frights to Nightmare inducers, popular to obscure. So what are you waiting for? Get out your pens and start taking notes!
And hey, would you look at my wrist! The Omniplex is a year old! Hooray!

Pepperland is open! This episode we turn to a unique animated classic starring (sort of) The Beatles. From the psychedelic style to personal influences to music, to the ill-fated, ill-concieved cancelled 2009 remake, we take a deep dive into the universe of Yellow Submarine!
You can find all the leaked test footage of the cancelled 2009 remake here. It's... quite something.

Ugghhh... Welcome to the... FIFTH... Covid watch cast, where we spill on what we've watched in the quarantine. In this one, we're a tad more pissed off, but still going and absorbing media to cope. We talk everything from Marvel to Soderbergh to Columbo to Netflix reality dating shows, to The Faculty, it's a WIDE range. So get yourself vaxxed if you haven't (especially now that the Pfeizer vaccine is officially FDA approved), mask up for others' protection, and stay safe out there everyone.

The Omniplex is open! We're coming at you with Pride a little late this year, but with the question: why shouldn't it go beyond June? With that in mind this week we talk themes of representation, who gets to play queer characters onscreen, and what is gender anyway? So sit back and enjoy this extension of Pride Month.

Ready for some semi-recent nostalgia? (We like to think it's semi-recent since the era we're covering is technically in this millennium, but GOD, just humor us..) This week at the Omniplex, we're covering the strange transitional era between 1996 and 2006. We examine the trends as well as the ups and downs of each. So strap in for this wild Disney ride (a few of which were made into movies) through an age of sequels, remakes, book films, and tv adaptations.
